Security Features:

Palmetto Hall has a 24-hour security system including gated access.

Palmetto Hall Plantation History:

Palmetto Hall is another plantation community of Greenwood Development Corporation. GDC purchased the land around the same time as it acquired Palmetto Dunes and the Shelter Cove area. Palmetto Hall Plantation was designed for younger families seeking less expensive single-family homes in a plantation setting with security, golf, and tennis. In early 2006, Heritage Golf Group worked out a long-term lease with CNL Income Properties, who had just purchased Palmetto Hall Plantation Club for over $7 million, to operate the community and subsequently placed Claude Thorn as general manager.

Amenities:

The 14,000 square foot southern-style Clubhouse hosts many amenities including a large swimming pool, tennis courts, a recreation field, and a children’s playground. Nearby lie approximately 90 acres of Nature Preserve. Activities: Golf: 36 holes of prime golfing are split into two public courses: the Arthur Hills course and the Robert Cupp course. The first is covered with pine trees, oaks, and other natural scenery showcasing Hills’ ability to catch the inherent beauty of the land, and is designed to be played across marshland. The second, opened in 1992, was designed on a computer and wound up with a creative flair: sand traps and even fairways in different shapes with sharp angles.
